"Hi guys, so today I wanted to do a review on a product which has been extremely crucial in the way my skin looks right now. So of lately I’ve been getting so many compliments on my skin that you are looking flawless, your skin looks so good and everything of that sort. I did switch up my skincare routine as how my dermat wanted me to do. So he completely made me change all of the products that I use because he was like you know "what you are doing it all wrong, use these these these products".
Now firstly I would start of by saying that these days because there is so much of impurities and pollution and the food we eat, everything adds up and leads up to a lot of skin disorders. So if you do have a skin disorder don’t worry we’re in it together we all have someone who has a skin disorder these days. So yeah having acne having spots, scars and everything can be part of that as well as you know sometimes women going through menopause or just starting to menstruate also have a lot of hormone imbalance which leads to a lot of acne, spotting, scarring as well as, you know, discolouration and pigmentation all over the skin.
So if you have any of the problems that I’ve mentioned then this review is a must watch for you guys because I have a product which has helped me so much in tackling at least three of the issues that I have mentioned and obviously we already know by the tagline that I’m talking about the La Roche-Posay Effaclar DUO. This is what it looks like I have used it up almost like I’ve completely finished it off, and I’ve been using this I guess for over six weeks now. I have been using it for more than a month now and what can I just say, can you just see by my smile and my skin what I feel about it. Like I have been officially smitten with La Roche-Posay Effaclar DUO.
Now first I’d just like to show you the outer packaging because I always show you the outer packaging. This is what the outer packaging looks like, it comes in this normal box like this which says Effaclar DUO anti-imperfections, in English and other languages so yeah that’s what it says. And it retails for 1350 rupees for about 40ml of product so I know you guys must have first have been like it’s a little expensive. I know it is, but sometimes you have to invest in your skin and honestly I had been trying out every single thing possible under the sun for my skin and nothing seemed to help when this came to my rescue and I gladly invest that much in my skin because your skin is the largest organ on your body and you should take care of it.
So inside you also get this sort of brochure or manual for what this cream is and how it works and other products that are there in this range. Now I’m just trying the Effaclar DUO from this range, they have a facewash, they have, I think, a makeup remover and stuff like that I haven’t tried that out I’ve just tried the Effaclar DUO. They have everything on this sheet of paper so if you want to go ahead you can read that, but I’m not going to bore you with the details of that. I’ll quickly move on to what I feel about the product itself.
Starting off with the packaging, the packaging is quite simplistic and fuss-free, it’s very easy to use, you’ve got a little squeezy tube packaging. It has a pointed nozzle which makes sure you don’t get a lot of product. Sometimes when the nozzle is flat, you tend to get a lot of product, but because the nozzle is so pointed you tend to get a very controlled amount of product. You can directly apply this on your face like that, but I like to take it on my fingertips first.
So the way I like to apply is I just wash my face, pat dry it, it’s very important to pat dry it and not like rub dry it. So I pat dry it, I take this on my fingers I smear it across my fingers to warm up the product a little and then I go on my face and I massage it for a good about 30 seconds I would say. I just massage it for 30 seconds and it gets absorbed into the skin like this, you can’t even feel it after you just like, you know, massage it in, you can’t feel that it’s there on your skin which is a really important thing for me because I hate it, sort of like sits on the skin, it feels icky and you can feel the cream especially in monsoons and summer. It’s like the worst feeling ever.
So that’s an amazing thing that you can actually wear this throughout the yearwithout being, you know, worried about it feeling sticky or icky or anything. Because this moisturises and hydrates the skin as well your skin doesn’t feel dry or anything. I belong to the dryer sided family of skin and I don’t feel my skin feels dry at all it stays nourished and moisturised all day long. I mean all day long. I’ll be honest, I washed my face in between and then reapplied it, different story altogether, but my face remains moisturised all day long which is a great thing.
Now one thing I would really like to state out loud, because whenever I put up a skincare related video a lot of you guys are quite worried about this phenomena so I thought I’d talk talk to you guys about it. So this product is paraben-free, so it is great again for the skin, so that your skin can breathe in the long run because it doesn’t have any sort of parabens in it, which is amazing. Along with that it has a lot of exotic products you can read about it on the brochure or on the box, it has an ingredient list right here. And there are a lot of exotic ingredients and that’s why it’s on the expensive side because obviously some things are exotic, they are rare, hence they’re expensive. Diamonds, they’re expensive and that’s why some products will be more expensive than others, because they’re harder to find, they’re harder to formulate into a product for your skin, a lot of research goes behind it. And I salute the research because it has helped me so much.
So anyways I’m coming back to the point there’s a lot of exotic products for your skin which will let your skin breathe and just feel nice and nourished and moisturised and everything of that sorts. And also help in lightening your acne scars. This has been the number one thing that has helped me in lightening my acne scars. So if you’ve been following me for a while you will know that about three months ago I had a really bad bout of acne, like no matter what I did it was so bad, I had so much scarring on this area. How much it has improved since then and I’m really thankful to the Effaclar DUO for that, like I cannot thank this cream enough because it has helped me so much with lightening the acne scars. And that is the main purpose of this Duo. It is supposed to be an anti-imperfection cream. So if you have any brown spots, acne marks or pigmentation it is supposed to help you with that and correct that and get rid of that.
The best part is that it’s extremely efficient and extremely quick in doing what it does. The proof of that is in you guys are starting to comment that my skin had been looking so flawless, do updated skincare routines, and this and that, and I’m being like thank you! And it’s like I’m almost about to run out of it, I’ll definitely re-purchase it for the rest of my life, if that’s what it takes to keep my skin like the way it is looking or even make it better maybe.
So you see the results extremely quickly, this works on your skin like magic. You can probably see results in about a week and a half, that’s when I started to see results, that’s when my acne marks started to fade away. I like to apply under my eyes as well in the morning and at night time I use a different night cream. But in the morning I like to really massage it in and around my eyes as well because I feel it helps me with the dark circles as well which is another great thing.
So yeah that is probably all I have to say about the La Roche-Posay Effaclar DUO. I am in love guys, I cannot explain how much I am in love with this product, you don’t know. I like, I go bonkers, I can keep talking about this product. So that’s all I have to say about the Effaclar DUO and I would also like to end it by emphasising that sometimes you do have to invest in your skin, not only timewise but moneywise as well and I’m so glad that I did. Because if I hadn’t found this product I’d probably be spending more on trying new products, like I have bought serums, worth around 2000, which I found non effective in over two weeks then I would switch over again, the same cycle, and it just did not help me out. So yes I would like to say that if you have to make an investment save up for it guys it is worth it because it’s your skin, it’s your face. And you know just, you get the hand language,don’t you.
Anyways I hope you guys enjoyed this review and you’re going to finally know what has been helping keep my skin the way it has been looking of lately. It’s also given my skin a really nice glow as you can see. I wanted to do this video without any makeup on, I do have lip balm on, for me a no makeup face means a lip balm face.
