What is a barrier cream?
Cicaplast products such as Cicaplast Baume B5, Gel B5, Lips and Hands are barrier creams. This means that they leave an invisible protective layer on the skin that restores the skin barrier to help protect against external aggressors while providing instant comfort. The formulas in our Cicaplast range are minimalist and hypoallergenic, meaning that don’t contain soap or parabens.
What are the hero products within the range?
Hands
The Cicaplast range has a few dedicated products for the hands. The first is the Cicaplast Lavant B5 Gel, an ultra-gentle cleanser that’s ideal for very dry and sensitive hands. If your hands are sore from over-washing, it preserves the bacterial balance and strengthens the barrier function. This helps the skin to recover while still keeping them clean. You can also use it on the body, face and scalp if you wish. For extra protection and comfort after cleansing, follow with Cicaplast Baume Hands. Body and Face
Cicaplast Gel B5 is enriched in protective agents so has the same restorative benefits as the baume but comes in a lightweight gel texture. It’s a great product for itchy and tight-feeling skin and is also suitable for use on scar tissue. If you prefer a creamy texture, Cicaplast Baume B5 provides the same protective benefits and can be used by the whole family.
Lips
The lips are one of the most sensitive parts of the face and they can become dry and chapped when the barrier function is compromised. Cicaplast Lips creates both a physical and biological barrier that prevents future chapping from occurring while soothing and nourishing the skin. Your lips will be soft and supple again in no time.
