Understanding needs, inventing solutions

Designed along the lines of therapeutic adjuncts, our skincare products aim to help dermatologists to improve compliance, and even to manage certain cutaneous side effects caused by medical treatments.

Obtaining formulas of this kind, which are perfectly tailored to dermatologists' needs in terms of effectiveness, tolerance and cosmeticity, means establishing an extremely close working relationship with them. And this must be true of each step in designing a skincare product, from identifying a need to putting in place strict clinical studies.

Putting our expertise to the service of professionals

“It all began 15 years ago in Spain with a meeting between the President of the Spanish Dermatology Society and La Roche-Posay Dermatological Laboratory", remembers Claire Sentenac, La Roche-Posay's International Medical Communication Director.

This unprecedented collaboration led to the "Residents' Class": medical training with the aim of raising junior dermatology doctors' awareness to the emergence of new therapeutic approaches and the importance of sun protection.


A network of professionals at our side

Currently available in 18 countries, this initiative has set the tone for many other actions by La Roche-Posay to support dermatologists' activities. Continuing education programmes, online training, scientific publications, corrective make-up workshops, atopy schools, support for "Melanoma Days", etc. are all ways of working day after day alongside health professionals to improve the lives of people with sensitive skin or suffering from skin conditions.

The dialogue with dermatologists does not stop at bringing our skincare to market: in regular contact with a vast network of health professionals through medical representatives, day after day we collect information on patients' actual experience of our products. This process is indispensable in deepening our knowledge and developing even more effective skincare products.
